Sponsors

Sponsors are projects, teams, or organisations that use Flarehub to find talent, run bounties, and fund longer-term work.

This page explains why sponsors use Flarehub and how to get started.

Why sponsor via Flarehub

  • Distribution — access to a vetted pool of builders and talent already active on Flare.
  • Operational rails — escrow contracts, reviews, and claim flows handled by standardised tooling.
  • Proof-of-work visibility — every payout is tied to public artefacts, making it easy to see what you funded.
  • DevRel leverage — events, Hacker Houses, and campus programmes that amplify your scopes.

Sponsor profile

Good candidates include:

  • Protocol teams building on Flare.
  • Infra providers (RPC, analytics, tooling).
  • Applications that want to grow their user base through community contribution.

How to get started

  1. Create a sponsor profile
    • Share who you are, your products, and your goals on Flare.
  2. Define your priorities
    • Decide whether you want:
      • Quick experiments (bounties).
      • Deeper integrations (contracts or Instagrants).
      • Brand and awareness (events, content, or campus work).
  3. Draft your first scopes
    • Use the checklists in Bounties and Contracts.
    • Keep acceptance criteria concrete: what does "done" look like?
  4. Fund escrows and go live
    • Work with programme ops to set up bounties or contracts in the app.
    • Ensure budgets and timelines are clear.
  5. Review and iterate
    • Give timely feedback and approvals.
    • Share what worked and what you want more of.

Best practices

  • Be specific — vague scopes attract noise; concrete tasks attract serious builders.
  • Respect contributor time — keep reviews within agreed SLAs and give actionable feedback.
  • Align with GDP — design scopes that lead to real usage, integrations, or user growth.

Relationship to XP and GDP

  • Your scopes:
    • Help contributors earn XP and advance tiers.
    • Feed into Community GDP when payouts are made.
  • High-performing sponsors:
    • Become preferred partners for events and Fast Track referrals.

See XP & Reputation and Community GDP for how your spend shows up in the network.

Disclaimers

  • You are responsible for complying with relevant laws and regulations for your organisation.
  • Flarehub does not guarantee specific outcomes or ROI from sponsored scopes.

Next steps

  • New sponsors: start with a small set of bounties to learn the process.
  • Returning sponsors: consider contracts or Instagrants for deeper collaborations.
  • Programme leads: keep sponsor playbooks and templates updated in your internal knowledge base.
